  • *TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU STAND TO GAIN?*(Series 10)

    *Scripture Reading:* 1 Samuel 26:15-16

*"David said to Abner, “Are you not a [brave] man? Who is like you in Israel? Why then have you not guarded your lord the king? For one of the people came [into your camp] to kill the king your lord. This thing that you have done is not good. As the Lord lives, you surely deserve to die, because you have not guarded your lord, the Lord’s anointed. And now, see where the king’s spear is, and the jug of water that was by his head.”*(AMP)

Continuation from where we stopped yesterday:

We need to take a lesson from David and stop the gossip, slander and misunderstandings about one another in the congregation of God. We need to critically study the life of David so as to really help us on how to respond to some tough situation amidst brethren.

David stopped the group of men in the cave, and told them not to harm Saul. But I put it to you today that I have seen countless times when ministers of God are after their lives all in the name of ranks, position, authority, influence, connection, fame, etc. Will the Lord be please with this act?

*David specifically ordered Abishai, not to harm Saul because he's the Lord's anointed and he has respect and honor for higher authority. If we all possess this same heart, the church of God, would have been heaven on earth.*

You see church talking about someone even though you are right and they are wrong is still wrong. There's need to be a respect for authority, number is people’s lives, but there also needs to be a respect for each other. If that is lost or not pursued in the tough times, we will wake up like Saul.

Pursue respect for authority and one another in the good times of your life, so that when hard times come, when people do harm to you, you will be able to respond out of love because you developed it in your life, just like David did.

*Prayer point:* Dear Lord, give me a right heart to always do your will and always keep your ordinances in Jesus Christ name. Amen!

  • "You claimed to have inherited a dilapidated Nigeria yet you're spending public funds extravagantly as if you inherited a rich and prosperous country" – Sanusi replies Tinubu

Emir Mohammed Sanusi, a prominent Nigerian leader and former Emir of Kano, has responded to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's claim that he inherited a dilapidated Nigeria from former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In his message to Tinubu, Emir Sanusi expresses total disagreement with this assertion. Sanusi questions how a president that claimed to have inherited a dilapidated Nigeria be spending public funds extravagantly as if you inherited a rich and prosperous country.

How would you justify the following extravagant spendings under your government:

21 Billion Naira to renovate the Vice President house

70 Billion Naira to the National Assembly members to buy SUVs at the cost 160 Million Naira per one for Senators and House of Representatives members

Specifically 4 Billion Naira to renovate Dodan Barrack Lagos

Another 3 Billion Naira to renovate Aguda House

5 Billion Naira was given to Presidential Tax Reforms Committee of less than twenty people headed by Taiwo Oyedele with nothing to show for it

1.5 Billion Naira to purchase cars for your wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu despite the fact that First Lady office is not recognised by our constitution

300% salary increase for the judges which was speedily passed by the insensitive and irresponsible senators

5 Billion Naira was budgeted for Presidential fleet of cars for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu

5 Billion equally budgeted for Presidential yacht

225 Billion naira spent on so-called Presidential Jet

90 Billion naira spent on 2024 Hajj pilgrimage

Billions of Naira was budgeted for your trips including the Vice President Kashim Shettima to the detriment of the citizens

Every Senator is paid 21 Million Naira monthly

House of Representatives are earning 13.5 Million monthly

All the increment was done by your government

15 Trillion Naira Lagos Calabar Coastal Road was awarded illegally to your friend a Lebanese Gilbert Chagoury who was repatriated back to his country by the former President Obasanjo

You have the largest ministers ever in the history of Nigeria.

Emir Sanusi's message critiques the spending patterns of Tinubu's government in light of claims about the state of Nigeria's economy inherited from Buhari.

Under the new directive, travelers from 52 African nations and several Caribbean states are now allowed visa-free entry into Kenya for up to 60 days. Citizens of East African Community (EAC) member states can stay for up to six months, consistent with EAC free movement protocols.

  • WHAT NIGERIANS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE DEATH OF BUHARI NOT NEW SAME WAS SAID ABOUT SANI ABACHA'S DEATH

Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari Dies in London at 82
Nigeria’s former president Muhammadu Buhari has died at the age of 82 in a London clinic, his family has announced.

Buhari, who governed Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, was reported to have travelled to the United Kingdom in April for a routine medical check-up but subsequently fell ill. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

In a brief statement on Sunday, Buhari’s family confirmed his passing: “The family of the former president has announced the passing on of Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”

As a Nigerian, I must express my dissatisfaction with the leadership provided over the past eight years. Rather than experiencing benefits, I have faced pain, limited opportunities for growth, and witnessed similar hardships for numerous youths from my generation. This was also the case during his military rule, which my father endured. His leadership style is marked by a lack of progress, which has been transferred to those under his leadership. While some argue that he fought corruption, it is evident that the majority of Nigerian politicians are corrupt, yet none have been held accountable. Furthermore, his leadership has been marred by the loss of many Nigerian youths during the End SARS protest and Shi'ite protest, which seemed to be of little concern to him. We do not rejoice in the passing of good individuals, but we also do not condemn those who speak the truth about evil men. Are you satisfied with the leaders Nigeria has had since Jonathan left office? In my opinion, Buhari is an evil man, comparable to General Sani Abacha, whose death was celebrated by Nigerians. If you do well, Nigerians will mourn your passing, but if you do evil, people will speak out.

  • Aisha Buhari: “My Husband Asked Me to Beg Nigerians for Forgiveness Before His Death” Aisha Buhari, wife of the late former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, has disclosed that her husband left her with a poignant message to convey to Nigerians. “Ever since he left office, he frequently told me that if he passed away before me, I should kindly request Nigerians to forgive him for any wrongdoings he might have committed during his tenure. He consistently reminded me that he was human, capable of both good and mistakes. That’s why I’m here today, imploring all Nigerians to please forgive him before he is finally laid to rest. Should Nigerians forgive Buhari or not? What are your thoughts on the message from his wife? If we forgive him, will the current leadership learn from his mistakes?

A 39-year-old man, who removed his c%ndom without the consent of the lady he was having s+x with, has been sentenced to 51 months in prison by a U.K. court.

Guy Mukendi from Brixton, south London, was on Thursday, June 13, sentenced at Inner London Crown Court for the r@p£ of a woman last year. The woman had consented to s+x with Mukendi on the condition a c%ndom was used, but he removed it without her consent.

The Metropolitan Police said the victim was supported during the “extremely difficult time” as soon as she first reported the incident.

Police worked with the victim to obtain screenshots of messages Mukendi sent where he apologised for taking the c%ndom off, and where he sought to explain his actions by saying he had not had s+x in a long time.

He then deleted the messages but the screenshots contributed to securing his conviction.
