    Water Ministry Partners Nestlé Nigeria on Advancement of Water Quality Management in Nigeria.

    In a move to promote safe and sustainable water practices, the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation (FMWRS) has announced a collaborative partnership with Nestlé Nigeria to drive nationwide Water Quality Management Campaigns. This initiative supports the goals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the water sector.

    This commitment was made by the Honourable Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, during a courtesy visit by the management of Nestlé Nigeria and members of the Organized Private Sector in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (OPS-WASH) led by Nestlé Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Sustainability Lead, Victoria Uwadoka to his office today in Abuja.

    The Minister emphasized that efficient water resource management is essential for minimizing public health threats such as cholera and diarrhea, while also helping to mitigate the adverse impacts of flooding. He assured the Ministry’s full support for Nestlé’s campaign and pledged timely collaboration to deliver impactful results.

    “The Ministry is committed to working with Nestlé Nigeria to improve water quality across the country. This partnership is in line with our mission to ensure safe water access and support the health and wellbeing of all Nigerians,” Prof. Utsev said.

    In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of FMWRS, Mr. Richard Pheelangwah, applauded Nestlé’s presentation on water quality improvement and pledged the Ministry’s full support for the initiative.

    Speaking on behalf of Nestlé Nigeria, Victoria Uwadoka, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Sustainability Lead, stressed the urgency of bridging the knowledge gap around water quality.

    “Not all clear water is clean. Poor water quality continues to affect health and increase the prevalence of waterborne diseases. Through our National Water Quality Advocacy Campaign, we aim to raise awareness, educate communities, engage stakeholders, and drive sustainable action,” Uwadoka said.

    She further added that the campaign is built on three key pillars: Raising Awareness and Educating, Engaging Stakeholders, and Driving Sustainable Actions.

    Providing further insight into the project, Dr. Nicholas Igwe, National Coordinator of OPS-WASH, highlighted that this collaboration goes beyond traditional Corporate Social Responsibility.

    “This initiative is focused on long-term water rehabilitation. In Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 16 communities will benefit, while 8 communities in Agbara, Ogun State, are also set to receive support. Additionally, two farming communities in Abaji and Agbara will benefit from the introduction of water harvesting systems for irrigation,” Dr. Igwe noted.

    The Director of Water Quality Control and Sanitation at the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, Mrs. Elizabeth Ugoh, noted that the ongoing baseline report on water quality and its parameters will significantly strengthen the water quality collaboration with Nestlé Nigeria.

    In attendance were some Directors of the Ministry including Director, Water Supply, Mr. Babarinde Segun Mukaila, Director Planning and Technical Support Services, Engr. Adeyinka Adenopo, Directors 11 & 111 of the Department of Water Quality Control and Sanitation, Habu Jamilu, mni and Ibiyemi Olu-Daniels, and Director Special Duties, Chucks Mbaike, respectively

  • BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF PEOPLE WHO IMPACTED OUR SOCIETY POSITIVELY OR NEGATIVELY ON THEIR FIELD OF WORKS
    EPISODE (54) BLACK FACE NAIJA (NIGERIA)

    Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo (born in Ogwule, Agatu, Benue State, Nigeria .His known by his stage name Blackface Naija or just Blackface, is a Nigerian dancehall, ragga, reggae singer, and songwriter. He is best known as co-writer of "African Queen" with 2Baba, a song made famous by the latter after it appeared on his debut solo album Face 2 Face in 2004 to become an international hit.

    Personal career of Blackface

    After the Plantashun Boiz split up in 2004, Blackface led a solo musical career. He released the hip hop album Ghetto Child in May 2004 collaborating with several artists. The album contains "Hard Life" featuring Alabai as the first single. He also recorded a full album for his crew D Tribunal called What We Are.

    Personal life of blackface

    Blackface was married to Dayo for eight years and has two children, Caroline and Alex.The couple agreed to separate, pending divorce procedures.

    Blackface and two-face controversy

    -Innocent 2Baba Idibia

    "Over the years, I have been tagged the villain of the Plantashun history, some say I followed money and betrayed my brothers in the hustle.

    Others say I stole a song and made it my hit.

    I have ignored it all because I am an enigma and my life revolves around peace, I try not to chase the problematic side of life, my loving wife Ani would always urge me to say something and clear my name but I gave it time.

    I gave it time because time reveals all things.

    We are growing grey now, our kids shouldn't see themselves and say "Hey your daddy stole my daddy's song and made fame from it". That would drop the pride in my kids so I have to clear the air.

    What a lot of people do not know is that; I took permission from its writer as a professional would do.

    The writer told me "haba bro, we are brothers from Idoma, I am creative with writing, I can write another. This one Na the least track wey I get self wey go blow"

    He underestimated the African Queen, I went ahead to record it, energized and gave it a vibe with my voice and it went beyond Africa to the world.

    It became a global hit that pulled platinum sales for my former record label Kennis Music. African Queen became a movement that reawakened the awareness in the beauty of an African woman, it became a sound of the Pan-African spirit and it brought home an Award from MTv.

    As a peaceful man, I still contacted the writer to show him love from my own earnings, because as at that time, my whole doings were sponsored by Kennis so they controlled my funds.

    I offered the writer ₦2 million naira and a plot land in Otukpo Benue State but he told me he deserved more than that.

    I tried to make the writer understand this thing I am offering is coming from my small savings and will do more in future as I grow bigger. The writer needed more because he felt I was global and worth more with no consideration of me under a label.

    I even brought it to the attention of my King but the writer still stood his ground.

    At that point, I decided to move on and let destiny play its role because it was becoming a distraction in my career.

    The record label is operated like a football business, they do not just sign you to come and warm the bench but to bring home the accolades.

  • HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE IN 2025 WITHOUT LIVING YOUR CURRENT JOB

    Social media influencers, bloggers, and content creators have several monetization strategies to earn money online. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the most common methods:

    1. {Sponsored Content}
    {Brand Partnerships} Influencers collaborate with brands to create content that promotes the brand's products or services. This can include posts, videos, stories, or blogs.
    {Payment Models} Influencers may charge a flat fee for a post, a fee per engagement (likes, shares), or a commission based on sales generated through their promotion.

    2. {Affiliate Marketing}
    {Affiliate Links} Content creators promote products using unique affiliate links. When their followers purchase through these links, the creator earns a commission.
    {Affiliate Programs} Common platforms include Amazon Associates, ShareASale, and CJ Affiliate, which offer a wide range of products for promotion.

    3. {Selling Products or Services}
    {Merchandise} Many influencers create and sell their own merchandise, such as clothing, accessories, or beauty products.
    {Digital Products} Bloggers and creators may sell e-books, online courses, or digital downloads (like presets, templates, etc.).
    {Consulting or Coaching} Offering personalized services or advice based on their expertise (e.g., fitness coaching, business consulting).

    4. {Ad Revenue}

    {Exclusive Content} In return, supporters often receive exclusive content, early access to new material, or rewards.

    6. {Membership Programs}
    {Private Groups} Some influencers create exclusive membership communities (e.g., on Discord or Facebook) where members pay for access to special content, discussions, or events.
    {Tiered Memberships} Different levels of membership can offer varying benefits, encouraging higher payments for more exclusive content.

    7. {Live Streaming and Events}

When their followers purchase through these links, the creator earns a commission. {Affiliate Programs} Common platforms include Amazon Associates, ShareASale, and CJ Affiliate, which offer a wide range of products for promotion. 3. {Selling Products or Services} {Merchandise} Many influencers create and sell their own merchandise, such as clothing, accessories, or beauty products. {Digital Products} Bloggers and creators may sell e-books, online courses, or digital downloads (like presets, templates, etc.). {Consulting or Coaching} Offering personalized services or advice based on their expertise (e.g., fitness coaching, business consulting). 4. {Ad Revenue} {YouTube Monetization} Content creators can earn money through ads shown on their videos via the YouTube Partner Program. {Blog Ads} Bloggers can use ad networks like Google AdSense to display ads on their websites and earn money based on clicks or impressions. 5.{Crowdfunding and Donations} {Platforms} Creators can use platforms like Patreon or Ko-fi, where fans can support them through monthly subscriptions or one-time donations. {Exclusive Content} In return, supporters often receive exclusive content, early access to new material, or rewards. 6. {Membership Programs} {Private Groups} Some influencers create exclusive membership communities (e.g., on Discord or Facebook) where members pay for access to special content, discussions, or events. {Tiered Memberships} Different levels of membership can offer varying benefits, encouraging higher payments for more exclusive content. 7. {Live Streaming and Events} {Live Streams} Platforms like Twitch or Instagram Live allow creators to earn money through donations or tips during live sessions. {Workshops and Webinars}Hosting paid online events or workshops can be a lucrative way to share expertise and interact with followers. 8. {Selling Stock Photography or Videos} {Stock Content} Photographers and videographers can sell their content on stock platforms like Shutterstock or Adobe Stock. {Licensing} Creators can license their work for use in advertising, media, or other commercial projects. 9. {Collaborative Projects} {Joint Ventures} Collaborating with other creators or brands on projects, products, or events can lead to shared profits and increased exposure. {Content Series} Developing series with other influencers can attract larger audiences and more sponsorship opportunities. 10.{Social Media Platforms' Monetization Features} {Instagram Shops} Influencers can set up shops on platforms like Instagram to sell products directly. {TikTok Creator Fund} TikTok pays creators based on the engagement and views their videos receive. Finally The key to success for social media influencers, bloggers, and content creators lies in building a loyal audience and engaging them effectively. Diversifying income streams and leveraging different platforms can significantly increase their earning potential. As the digital landscape evolves, staying updated with trends and exploring new monetization options is essential for sustained income.Like every business you need to learn the business , know the business , grow the business none of this online business is a fast making business. You first need to know what you are doing, create a platform and keep doing what you love and you grow it and along the way you will resign to concentrate on being an influencer, blogger, marketer etc. Credit: JTT, Researcher, Biographer, Author, Musician, CEO of JAGAJAG AFRICA LTD,

  • The conflict between Iran and Israel is rooted in a combination of historical, political, ideological, and security factors. Here are some of the primary reasons for the tensions and hostilities between the two nations:

    1. Ideological Differences: Iran is an Islamic Republic with a theocratic regime that promotes a revolutionary ideology, opposing Western influence and what it perceives as imperialism in the region. Israel, on the other hand, is a democratic state with a Jewish identity, often seen by Iran as a symbol of Western imperialism and a primary adversary in the Middle East.

    2. Support for Opposing Groups: Iran has supported various militant groups that oppose Israel, such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. This support includes military training, funding, and weapons supplies, which Israel views as a direct threat to its security.

    3. Nuclear Program: Iran’s nuclear program has been a significant point of contention. Israel fears that if Iran develops nuclear weapons, it could pose an existential threat to the Jewish state. As a result, Israel has consistently opposed Iran's nuclear ambitions and has engaged in various efforts to sabotage the program, including cyber attacks.

    4. Regional Influence: Iran seeks to expand its influence across the Middle East, supporting proxy groups and forming alliances with countries like Syria and Iraq. This expansion is seen by Israel as a direct threat to its national security and a challenge to its dominance in the region.

    5. Historical Hostility: The establishment of Israel in 1948 and the subsequent Arab-Israeli conflicts have created a long-standing animosity in the region. Iran, particularly after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, shifted its foreign policy to support anti-Israel sentiments and movements, aligning itself with the Palestinian cause and other adversaries of Israel.

    6. Proxy Conflicts: The conflict between Iran and Israel often plays out through proxy wars in various countries, notably in Syria and Lebanon. Iran’s involvement in these conflicts, often supporting groups that attack Israel, creates an ongoing cycle of retaliation and violence.

    7. Military Engagements: Israel has conducted airstrikes against Iranian military targets in Syria, aiming to prevent the establishment of a permanent Iranian military presence near its borders. These military engagements further escalate tensions and contribute to the ongoing hostilities.

    8. International Alliances: The U.S.-Israel alliance plays a significant role in the conflict. Iran perceives the strong U.S. support for Israel as part of a broader strategy to contain Iranian influence in the region, heightening its animosity towards both countries.

    In summary, the conflict between Iran and Israel is driven by a complex interplay of ideological, political, and security factors. The ongoing hostilities are characterized by proxy conflicts, military engagements, and deep-rooted animosities, making any resolution challenging.

  • Breaking News China has implemented new divorce laws, which stipulate that properties will no longer be divided equally. Individuals will only retain ownership of assets they purchased or contributed to. As a result, couples must maintain receipts for all purchases in the event of separation. This legislation ensures that individuals will not lose substantial assets solely due to divorce. Each party will only retain ownership of assets they brought into or acquired during the marriage. Moral lesson: The introduction of this new law is expected to lead to a decrease in divorce rates by year's end.

  • Develop Robust Training In Your MDAS, Governor Otti Charges Appointees, Directs Training Of Youths

    Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has mandated his appointees and heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the State Government to develop robust training and capacity building programmes for their establishments.

    Governor Otti also mandated the Chief Strategy Officer and the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission to work out a template for the training of 1,000 young people between the ages of 16 to 20 on leadership capacity development, character building and self-discovery outside the academic environment.

    The Governor handed down the directives at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Umuahia, during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Abia State Quarter 2 Executive Council Strategy Retreat.

    According to Governor Otti, one central takeaway from the retreat is the importance of training and mentorship which supports individuals to become better versions of themselves, so as to become better employees and subordinates.

    "To that effect, all Commissioners and heads of MDAs are directed to develop robust training and capacity building programmes for their establishments.

    "Critical learning areas such as ICT, communication, stakeholder management and value creation in line with the peculiar mandates of the individuals and MDAs should be incorporated.

    “Nobody should be left behind and any staff who fails to participate should be reprimanded.

    "Clear metrics of assessment are to be developed and outcomes used as part of the relevant criteria for assigning official responsibilities. I expect to get periodic reports on this from various MDAs,” the Governor instructed.

    "The Chief Strategy Officer and the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission are hereby mandated to work out a suitable template for the training of 1,000 young people between the ages of 16 to 20 on leadership capacity development, character building and self-discovery, outside the academic environment.

    "Training and mentorship programmes will also be extended to young graduates from senior secondary schools and institutions of higher learning," Gov. Otti stated.

    Governor Otti announced that the State Government would establish an academy to facilitate scheduled training for government employees and announced plans to extend mentorship and capacity - building initiatives to young people in Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions across the State.

    "The young people's training should be made to happen between the first week of August and the second week of September. And this is when the students are expected to be on vacation.

    "They should also be institutionalised, conducted periodically, and properly certificated.

    "The programme should be structured to transform the minds of the young leaders, expose them to new thinking, and prepare them for the tasks of leadership and service in communities in due course," Gov. Otti stated.

    The State Chief Executive, who appreciated the consultants and resource persons who anchored the various sessions of the retreat, particularly, the leadership and members of the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council, also thanked the organisers of the retreat.

    He stressed the need for the participants to apply the knowledge gained from the retreat to improve on their performances and said that, knowledge is nothing until it is applied to achieve superior outcomes.

    The curtains of the Abia State Government 2025 Quarter 2 Executive Council Strategy Retreat was drawn to a close as participants expressed satisfaction with the quality of the training and the windows it offered to interact with members of the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council.
