*TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU STAND TO GAIN?*(Series 10) *Scripture Reading:* 1 Samuel 26:15-16 *"David said to Abner, “Are you not a [brave] man? Who is like you in Israel? Why then have you not guarded your lord the king? For one of the people came [into your camp] to kill the king your lord. This thing that you have done is not good. As the Lord lives, you surely deserve to die, because you have not guarded your lord, the Lord’s anointed. And now, see where the king’s spear is, and the jug of water that was by his head.”*(AMP) Continuation from where we stopped yesterday: We need to take a lesson from David and stop the gossip, slander and misunderstandings about one another in the congregation of God. We need to critically study the life of David so as to really help us on how to respond to some tough situation amidst brethren. David stopped the group of men in the cave, and told them not to harm Saul. But I put it to you today that I have seen countless times when ministers of God are after their lives all in the name of ranks, position, authority, influence, connection, fame, etc. Will the Lord be please with this act? *David specifically ordered Abishai, not to harm Saul because he's the Lord's anointed and he has respect and honor for higher authority. If we all possess this same heart, the church of God, would have been heaven on earth.* You see church talking about someone even though you are right and they are wrong is still wrong. There's need to be a respect for authority, number is people’s lives, but there also needs to be a respect for each other. If that is lost or not pursued in the tough times, we will wake up like Saul. Pursue respect for authority and one another in the good times of your life, so that when hard times come, when people do harm to you, you will be able to respond out of love because you developed it in your life, just like David did. *Prayer point:* Dear Lord, give me a right heart to always do your will and always keep your ordinances in Jesus Christ name. Amen! T.S. AFOLAYAN

Aliko Dangote Tops the List of World’s Richest Black People Here is What We Can Learn A newly released global ranking of the world’s wealthiest Black individuals has the world talking and sitting confidently at number one is Nigeria’s own business titan, Aliko Dangote. The Journey Begins... In 1977, at just 21, Dangote borrowed ₦500,000 (about $3,000 at the time) from his uncle to begin trading in rice, sugar, and cement. Rather than spending his early profits, he reinvested them over and over again. With time, he shifted from importation to local production, laying the groundwork for Dangote Cement, now one of Africa’s industrial giants. Despite operating in one of the world’s most volatile business environments, Dangote weathered every storm: Economic Instability: From inflation to power shortages, he adapted and persisted. Global Competition: He built businesses that could go toe-to-toe with international brands. Bold Risks: He invested over $20 billion into Africa’s largest refinery, betting big on local capacity. 5 Business Lessons from Dangote’s Rise: 1. Start Small, Dream Big He didn’t wait for millions to start. He began with trade and scaled strategically. Lesson: Use what you have, but aim far beyond your starting point. 2. Reinvest Before You Reward Yourself Instead of splurging, Dangote poured profits back into the business. Lesson: Grow your assets before your lifestyle. 3. Solve Local Problems He noticed Nigeria was importing what it could easily produce and changed that. Lesson: Find the gap in your market and fill it. 4. Stay Consistent Through Chaos Whether it was currency crashes or market shocks, he never lost focus. Lesson: Real resilience is measured in tough times. 5. Build Beyond Yourself His ventures fuel local economies in energy, agriculture, and industry. Lesson: Profit is good, but legacy is better. “Don’t kill your dreams with small thinking. Start humbly but never let your vision shrink.” – Dr. James Makamba #Dangote #AfricanExcellence #ThinkBig #EntrepreneurNg #DangoteLegacy #jaconnaafrica #JTT #Jajiotheteacher #Jagajagafrica

When they were in power, former First Lady Aisha Buhari was in a constant battle for control of her husband and power with the power brokers around her husband. Apparently, her late husband trusted a group of cronies led by his nephew Mamman Daura, Sabiu Tunde, and the late Abba Kyari, who were in charge and were the de facto presidents. Thus, they were in charge and determined who got what. That Emiefele was so powerful because of the power they allowed him as CBN governor. According to some schools of thought, if the late Abba Kyari were to be alive, he would not have allowed the current president, Asiwaju, to emerge as the APC presidential flag bearer, let alone win the election. Before they left power, Buhari's nephew, Sabiu Tunde, was the richest young Nigerian under 40. Aisha Buhari was relegated to the background and was told by her husband that she belonged in the kitchen when she complained. She fought, she wailed, and she became a podcaster at one point. She would give orders as the wife of a sitting president, but Mamman Daura or Sabiu Tunde would overrule her, knowing nothing would happen. Aisha Buhari's case was made worse by the fact that Buhari comes from a feudalist culture that has no regard for women. Aisha Buhari and Tunde Sabiu once had an intense clash at Aso Rock that had her ADC shooting at him; the man scaled the fence of Aso Rock, running for his life. As expected, the late Buhari sided with his nephew, Sabiu Tunde, against his wife, and Aisha's security operatives, who attempted to kill Tunde, were picked up and arrested by the then Inspector General of Police. Aisha had to come on social media to appeal to the IGP to release her security operatives because she was powerless. Tunde gave an order for their arrest, and there was nothing she could do to reverse it. Frustrated by the humiliation she received at the hands of the power cabal, Aisha had to relocate from Nigeria to Dubai before moving to the UK. The power cabal even made attempts to marry a second wife for the late Buhari at the height of their fight with Aisha, just to humiliate her further. Buhari disrespected his wife and allowed wolves to ravage her in a way that Tinubu has not done to his wife, Remi. Today, Muhammadu Buhari is no more, but before he died, he was nursed and taken care of by Aisha Buhari and the kids on his sickbed. Sabiu Tunde, who was fond of humiliating her, was nowhere to be found. When he died, it was still the same Aisha and the kids who brought his corpse home. A lesson for my generation of men: when you become rich and powerful, take care of your wife and kids; bring them close, more than any other person, no matter how loyal the person is to you. Don't allow a third party to come between you and your wife because of money and power. When the chips are down, your family is all that you have left. Every other person will move on. I have seen this happen again and again. - CHUKWUDI IWUCHUKWU

"You claimed to have inherited a dilapidated Nigeria yet you're spending public funds extravagantly as if you inherited a rich and prosperous country" – Sanusi replies Tinubu Emir Mohammed Sanusi, a prominent Nigerian leader and former Emir of Kano, has responded to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's claim that he inherited a dilapidated Nigeria from former President Muhammadu Buhari. In his message to Tinubu, Emir Sanusi expresses total disagreement with this assertion. Sanusi questions how a president that claimed to have inherited a dilapidated Nigeria be spending public funds extravagantly as if you inherited a rich and prosperous country. How would you justify the following extravagant spendings under your government: ▪️ 21 Billion Naira to renovate the Vice President house ▪️ 70 Billion Naira to the National Assembly members to buy SUVs at the cost 160 Million Naira per one for Senators and House of Representatives members ▪️ Specifically 4 Billion Naira to renovate Dodan Barrack Lagos ▪️ Another 3 Billion Naira to renovate Aguda House ▪️ 5 Billion Naira was given to Presidential Tax Reforms Committee of less than twenty people headed by Taiwo Oyedele with nothing to show for it ▪️ 1.5 Billion Naira to purchase cars for your wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu despite the fact that First Lady office is not recognised by our constitution ▪️ 300% salary increase for the judges which was speedily passed by the insensitive and irresponsible senators ▪️ 5 Billion Naira was budgeted for Presidential fleet of cars for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu ▪️ 5 Billion equally budgeted for Presidential yacht ▪️ 225 Billion naira spent on so-called Presidential Jet ▪️ 90 Billion naira spent on 2024 Hajj pilgrimage ▪️ Billions of Naira was budgeted for your trips including the Vice President Kashim Shettima to the detriment of the citizens ▪️ Every Senator is paid 21 Million Naira monthly ▪️ House of Representatives are earning 13.5 Million monthly ▪️ All the increment was done by your government ▪️ 15 Trillion Naira Lagos Calabar Coastal Road was awarded illegally to your friend a Lebanese Gilbert Chagoury who was repatriated back to his country by the former President Obasanjo ▪️ You have the largest ministers ever in the history of Nigeria. Emir Sanusi's message critiques the spending patterns of Tinubu's government in light of claims about the state of Nigeria's economy inherited from Buhari.

Kenya Removes Visa Requirements for Africans and Most Caribbean Countries Kenya has officially scrapped visa requirements for citizens of 52 African nations and most Caribbean countries. Africans can now travel to Kenya with just a passport. The new policy eliminates the need for electronic travel authorization (eTA), visa fees, or paperwork. Under the new directive, travelers from 52 African nations and several Caribbean states are now allowed visa-free entry into Kenya for up to 60 days. Citizens of East African Community (EAC) member states can stay for up to six months, consistent with EAC free movement protocols. However, the visa-free policy excludes Libya and Somalia due to security concerns. #TheAfricanDream #jajiotheteacher #jaconnaafrica

⚡ Russian Embassy comment on the Business Day article (July 15, 2025) ✍️ We took note of the article How Russia wins friends and influences people by Nicholas Shubitz published in Business Day on July 11, 2025, and found it thought-provoking and partially reflective of the realities of getting education abroad – be it in Russia, USA, China, Europe or elsewhere. Yet, one important issue is missing. Education has traditionally been one of the most vibrant sectors in #RussiaAfrica relations. Since the early days of African independence, hundreds of thousands of professionals – doctors, engineers, teachers, technicians, and others – have received training in Russia. After completing these studies, most of the graduates return to their home countries, where they contribute to building a better future for their communities. ☝️ We firmly believe that Africa is not, and should not be, an arena for geopolitical rivalry. As President Vladimir Putin emphasized in his article “Russia and Africa: Joining Efforts for Peace, Progress and a Successful Future,” our country has consistently adhered to the principle of “AFRICAN SOLUTIONS TO AFRICAN PROBLEMS,” standing in solidarity with African nations in their pursuit of self-determination, justice, and sovereign rights. Unlike some external actors, we have never sought to impose our values, governance models, or development paths on our African partners. Our engagement with African countries is guided by the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum Action Plan for 2023-2026, adopted at the highest level. This strategic document outlines broad cooperation in numerous areas, including security, trade, investment, agriculture, science, culture, and – critically – education. 💬 Shane Shauke, a graduate of a Russian University, current medical practitioner and representative of the Russian African Centre of University Studies (RACUS) in SA, shares his experience: “As a South African from the rural Limpopo province, I had the opportunity to study in Russia. Many of us who studied there were drawn not by political influence, but by the accessibility of quality education – especially in fields like medicine. Russia’s investment in international students, particularly from Africa, certainly fosters goodwill. It’s equally important to acknowledge that the relationship is not one-sided: African students often return home with valuable knowledge and skills. Russia may gain friends through education, but those friendships are rooted in complex human experiences, not just political strategy.” The Comment was partially published in Business Day on July 15, 2025: https://tinyurl.com/ykh59r24

WHAT NIGERIANS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE DEATH OF BUHARI NOT NEW SAME WAS SAID ABOUT SANI ABACHA'S DEATH Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari Dies in London at 82 Nigeria’s former president Muhammadu Buhari has died at the age of 82 in a London clinic, his family has announced. Buhari, who governed Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, was reported to have travelled to the United Kingdom in April for a routine medical check-up but subsequently fell ill. The cause of death has not been disclosed. In a brief statement on Sunday, Buhari’s family confirmed his passing: “The family of the former president has announced the passing on of Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.” As a Nigerian, I must express my dissatisfaction with the leadership provided over the past eight years. Rather than experiencing benefits, I have faced pain, limited opportunities for growth, and witnessed similar hardships for numerous youths from my generation. This was also the case during his military rule, which my father endured. His leadership style is marked by a lack of progress, which has been transferred to those under his leadership. While some argue that he fought corruption, it is evident that the majority of Nigerian politicians are corrupt, yet none have been held accountable. Furthermore, his leadership has been marred by the loss of many Nigerian youths during the End SARS protest and Shi'ite protest, which seemed to be of little concern to him. We do not rejoice in the passing of good individuals, but we also do not condemn those who speak the truth about evil men. Are you satisfied with the leaders Nigeria has had since Jonathan left office? In my opinion, Buhari is an evil man, comparable to General Sani Abacha, whose death was celebrated by Nigerians. If you do well, Nigerians will mourn your passing, but if you do evil, people will speak out. Credit:JTT

*TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU STAND TO GAIN?*(Series 7) *Scripture Reading:* 1 Samuel 22:17 *"And the king said to the guards who stood around him, “Turn around and kill the priests of the Lord, because their loyalty also is with David, and because they knew that he was fleeing and did not inform me.” But the servants of the king were not willing to put out their hands to attack the Lord’s priests."*(AMP) Continuation from where we stopped yesterday: Saul wasn’t willing to do the Lord’s work earlier, when God instructed him to kill all the people and cattle of the Amalekites in (I Samuel 15) But was willing to do it here in the above scripture, after he got what he was looking for. Here’s my challenge, *you don’t have to kill someone to destroy that person.* If your mandate in life is to be better than someone else, or be consumed with jealousy about your fellow Christian, you too will do the same things as Saul did. You will find yourself tearing that person up with words, and all who love that person why because of your selfishness behavior. For David doing the Lord’s will, was the ultimate drive for him even though David blew it at times, it was still his desire. *God still credited David with the statement, a man after my own heart.* But for Saul, God removed the Kingdom from him. Because it was not Saul’s desire to do the Will of God, but rather it was for selfishness and pride that he got up in the morning. Selfishness and pride kills and shortened the length at which you could cover in life because selfishness and pride usually bring calamity and unprepared disaster along side. May the Lord deliver us from such act in Jesus name. Amen! To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. Good morning and do have a fruitful week, peace *Prayer point:* Father, align me to sweet your purpose for my life in Jesus Christ name. Amen! T.S. AFOLAYAN
