• Aliko Dangote, renowned billionaire businessman, is set to embark on the construction of a seaport near his fertilizer and oil refinery plants, marking the next phase of his business expansion. The proposed Atlantic seaport, located in Olokola, Ogun State, is roughly 100 kilometers from Dangote's fertilizer plant and petrochemicals refinery in Lagos. Dangote currently utilizes an on-site jetty for exporting urea and fertilizer, which also serves as a receiving point for heavy equipment destined for the refinery. As reported by Bloomberg News, the proposed Atlantic seaport will integrate logistics and export operations, posing competition to existing facilities in Lagos, while streamlining the export process for goods, including liquefied natural gas. Devakumar Edwin, Vice President of the group, disclosed that Dangote intends to export liquefied gas from Lagos, a project necessitating the construction of pipelines from Nigeria's oil-rich Niger Delta. Upon completion, the project is anticipated to bolster the rapid growth of Dangote's industrial empire.

  • SHOCKING Forty-five years ago, China's economy was lagging behind those of Nigeria, Chad, Malawi, and Cameroon. The country's fortunes changed under President Deng Xiaoping's leadership, and today China is one of the wealthiest nations globally. This underscores the fact that Africa has the necessary resources to drive growth, but what is lacking is visionary and accountable leadership. Regrettably, the increasing cases of embezzlement, with some individuals misappropriating staggering sums exceeding 100 billion, pose significant obstacles to progress. The severe penalties imposed for bribery and corruption in China offer valuable lessons.

A notable philanthropic gesture was made yesterday with a ₦15 million donation to the UNN Dentistry Department, exemplifying his commitment to education. Despite his reluctance to celebrate birthdays, we are compelled to acknowledge him. Let us overwhelm this post with expressions of goodwill. As a distinguished politician known for his consistency, discipline, and selflessness, he merits celebration. Happy birthday to Peter Obi. May God's guidance and protection continue to be upon him. • Nigeria just lost one of the last traditional wood carver and we didn’t know!!!
I often visited Mr Yinka Fabayo in his Oshogbo studio, sometimes to buy one of his beautiful wood sculptures, other times to pick up fabrics from his ever-gracious wife. Each visit was met with his signature welcome: a heavy punch to my shoulder, a squeeze deep handshake, followed by a warm smile and an unforgettable hug.
Whenever he had an engagement in Ile-Ife, he and his wife would make the trip to my house, and we would share the kind of fellowship that is very rare between a senior artist and a mentee.

We had planned to go to the Qatar show together. I had helped him curated all his works, photographed each sculpture with care, full of excitement for what was to come, but life, in its own way, had other plans.
Egbon Fabayo, You didn’t just live a good life, you left a legacy, you made impact, you built community, you made great art, you carved history, and you lived a deeply fulfilling life.

When you get to the other side, extend my greetings to Lamidi Olonade Fakeye, Õlówè of Ise, Areogun, Bisi Fakeye, but find time to rest well, because you really worked!! You worked!!
May God grant you eternal peace. We will miss you

  • Aliko Dangote Tops the List of World’s Richest Black People

Here is What We Can Learn

A newly released global ranking of the world’s wealthiest Black individuals has the world talking and sitting confidently at number one is Nigeria’s own business titan, Aliko Dangote.

    The Journey Begins...
In 1977, at just 21, Dangote borrowed ₦500,000 (about $3,000 at the time) from his uncle to begin trading in rice, sugar, and cement. Rather than spending his early profits, he reinvested them over and over again. With time, he shifted from importation to local production, laying the groundwork for Dangote Cement, now one of Africa’s industrial giants.

Despite operating in one of the world’s most volatile business environments, Dangote weathered every storm:
Economic Instability: From inflation to power shortages, he adapted and persisted.

Global Competition: He built businesses that could go toe-to-toe with international brands.

    Bold Risks:
He invested over $20 billion into Africa’s largest refinery, betting big on local capacity.

5 Business Lessons from Dangote’s Rise:
    1. Start Small, Dream Big
He didn’t wait for millions to start. He began with trade and scaled strategically.
Lesson: Use what you have, but aim far beyond your starting point.

    2. Reinvest Before You Reward Yourself
Instead of splurging, Dangote poured profits back into the business.
Lesson: Grow your assets before your lifestyle.

    3. Solve Local Problems
He noticed Nigeria was importing what it could easily produce and changed that.
Lesson: Find the gap in your market and fill it.

    4. Stay Consistent Through Chaos
Whether it was currency crashes or market shocks, he never lost focus.
Lesson: Real resilience is measured in tough times.

    5. Build Beyond Yourself
His ventures fuel local economies in energy, agriculture, and industry.
Lesson: Profit is good, but legacy is better.

“Don’t kill your dreams with small thinking. Start humbly but never let your vision shrink.”

  • When they were in power, former First Lady Aisha Buhari was in a constant battle for control of her husband and power with the power brokers around her husband.

Apparently, her late husband trusted a group of cronies led by his nephew Mamman Daura, Sabiu Tunde, and the late Abba Kyari, who were in charge and were the de facto presidents.

Thus, they were in charge and determined who got what.

That Emiefele was so powerful because of the power they allowed him as CBN governor.

According to some schools of thought, if the late Abba Kyari were to be alive, he would not have allowed the current president, Asiwaju, to emerge as the APC presidential flag bearer, let alone win the election.

Before they left power, Buhari's nephew, Sabiu Tunde, was the richest young Nigerian under 40.

Aisha Buhari was relegated to the background and was told by her husband that she belonged in the kitchen when she complained.

She fought, she wailed, and she became a podcaster at one point.

She would give orders as the wife of a sitting president, but Mamman Daura or Sabiu Tunde would overrule her, knowing nothing would happen.

Aisha Buhari's case was made worse by the fact that Buhari comes from a feudalist culture that has no regard for women.

Aisha Buhari and Tunde Sabiu once had an intense clash at Aso Rock that had her ADC shooting at him; the man scaled the fence of Aso Rock, running for his life.

As expected, the late Buhari sided with his nephew, Sabiu Tunde, against his wife, and Aisha's security operatives, who attempted to kill Tunde, were picked up and arrested by the then Inspector General of Police.

Aisha had to come on social media to appeal to the IGP to release her security operatives because she was powerless.

Tunde gave an order for their arrest, and there was nothing she could do to reverse it.

Frustrated by the humiliation she received at the hands of the power cabal, Aisha had to relocate from Nigeria to Dubai before moving to the UK.

The power cabal even made attempts to marry a second wife for the late Buhari at the height of their fight with Aisha, just to humiliate her further.

Buhari disrespected his wife and allowed wolves to ravage her in a way that Tinubu has not done to his wife, Remi.

Today, Muhammadu Buhari is no more, but before he died, he was nursed and taken care of by Aisha Buhari and the kids on his sickbed.

Sabiu Tunde, who was fond of humiliating her, was nowhere to be found.

When he died, it was still the same Aisha and the kids who brought his corpse home.

A lesson for my generation of men: when you become rich and powerful, take care of your wife and kids; bring them close, more than any other person, no matter how loyal the person is to you.

Don't allow a third party to come between you and your wife because of money and power.

When the chips are down, your family is all that you have left.

Every other person will move on. I have seen this happen again and again.

  • "You claimed to have inherited a dilapidated Nigeria yet you're spending public funds extravagantly as if you inherited a rich and prosperous country" – Sanusi replies Tinubu

Emir Mohammed Sanusi, a prominent Nigerian leader and former Emir of Kano, has responded to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's claim that he inherited a dilapidated Nigeria from former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In his message to Tinubu, Emir Sanusi expresses total disagreement with this assertion. Sanusi questions how a president that claimed to have inherited a dilapidated Nigeria be spending public funds extravagantly as if you inherited a rich and prosperous country.

How would you justify the following extravagant spendings under your government:

21 Billion Naira to renovate the Vice President house

70 Billion Naira to the National Assembly members to buy SUVs at the cost 160 Million Naira per one for Senators and House of Representatives members

Specifically 4 Billion Naira to renovate Dodan Barrack Lagos

Another 3 Billion Naira to renovate Aguda House

5 Billion Naira was given to Presidential Tax Reforms Committee of less than twenty people headed by Taiwo Oyedele with nothing to show for it

1.5 Billion Naira to purchase cars for your wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu despite the fact that First Lady office is not recognised by our constitution

300% salary increase for the judges which was speedily passed by the insensitive and irresponsible senators

5 Billion Naira was budgeted for Presidential fleet of cars for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu

5 Billion equally budgeted for Presidential yacht

225 Billion naira spent on so-called Presidential Jet

90 Billion naira spent on 2024 Hajj pilgrimage

Billions of Naira was budgeted for your trips including the Vice President Kashim Shettima to the detriment of the citizens

Every Senator is paid 21 Million Naira monthly

House of Representatives are earning 13.5 Million monthly

All the increment was done by your government

15 Trillion Naira Lagos Calabar Coastal Road was awarded illegally to your friend a Lebanese Gilbert Chagoury who was repatriated back to his country by the former President Obasanjo

You have the largest ministers ever in the history of Nigeria.

Emir Sanusi's message critiques the spending patterns of Tinubu's government in light of claims about the state of Nigeria's economy inherited from Buhari.

  • The United States President Donald Trump has asked some African countries to accept deported migrants who are not Africans.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the United States sent proposals to five West African presidents, asking them to take in migrants whose home countries won’t accept them.

Nigeria has rejected the United States request, citing they have bigger problems at home.

These are not citizens of those African nations, but people the U.S. wants to offload because their home countries have refused to take them back.

Nigeria’s Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar made the country’s position crystal clear: “We have enough problems of our own… We cannot accept Venezuelan deportees to Nigeria, for crying out loud,” he said.
