  • According to JTT , the Nigerian constitution works against the interests of the Nigerian people can be interpreted in various ways, and it often reflects a critical perspective on governance, political practices, or socioeconomic conditions in Nigeria. Here are a few points that might be raised in such a discussion: 1. Federal Structure and Resource Control: Critics argue that the distribution of resources and powers between the federal government and the states can disadvantage certain regions, especially in oil-rich areas. This has led to feelings of marginalization among various ethnic groups. 2. Human Rights Issues: There are concerns regarding the protection of human rights under the Nigerian constitution. Issues such as police brutality, restrictions on freedom of expression, and the treatment of political dissidents are often highlighted. 3. Judiciary Independence: The independence of the judiciary is essential for upholding the rule of law. If the judiciary is perceived as being influenced by the executive or other political forces, it can undermine public trust in the constitution and legal system. 4. Corruption: Widespread corruption can lead to the ineffective implementation of constitutional provisions, resulting in a lack of accountability and transparency in governance. 5. Electoral Issues: Concerns about electoral integrity, including allegations of rigging and violence, can lead to a lack of faith in the democratic process and the constitutional framework designed to protect citizens' rights to choose their leaders. 6. Amendments and Reforms: The process of amending the constitution can be contentious, and some citizens may feel that their needs and concerns are not adequately represented in the constitutional framework. 7. Social Justice and Inequality: Issues of social justice, economic inequality, and access to basic services can be seen as a failure of the constitutional mandate to provide for the welfare of all citizens. It's important to note that while these criticisms exist, there are also many who argue that the constitution provides a framework for democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria. The effectiveness of the constitution in serving the Nigerian people often depends on the political will, civic engagement, and the active participation of the citizenry in governance. • THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE WORKING PERFECTLY ACCORDING TO ITS MANDATE

Your statement reflects a critical perspective on the role and function of the Nigerian police force, which has been a topic of significant debate and discussion in Nigeria over the years. Here are some points that contextualize this view:

    1. Historical Context
    - {Colonial Roots} The Nigerian police force was established during colonial rule primarily to serve the interests of the colonial government, primarily for control and oppression rather than protection and service to the citizens.
    - {Post-Colonial Legacy} After Nigeria attained independence in 1960, the police inherited a structure and culture that often prioritized political control over public safety.

    2. Public Perception and Trust
    - {Corruption} There are widespread reports of corruption within the police force, where bribes and extortion have become common practices. This undermines public trust and leads to a perception of the police acting against the interests of the community.
    - {Human Rights Violations} Numerous instances of brutality, extrajudicial killings (notably by units like the now-disbanded SARS - Special Anti-Robbery Squad), and abusive behavior towards the citizens have contributed to this negative perception.

    3. The Safer Nigeria Initiative
    - {Protests and Advocacy} Movements such as #EndSARS have highlighted the grievances of citizens against police misconduct and have called for reform. These protests bring to light the demands of Nigerian citizens for a police force that protects rather than oppresses.
    - {Calls for Reform} There have been various calls from civil society for reforming the police, focusing on better training, accountability, and community policing as a means of restoring faith in the force.

    4. Societal Impact
    - {Fear and Distrust} The perception of the police as an entity working against the masses creates an atmosphere of fear and distrust. This can lead to underreporting of crimes and reluctance to cooperate with law enforcement.
    - {Impact on Crime Rates} Distrust in the police may deter effective policing and thus contribute to rising crime rates as communities feel unprotected.

    5. The Need for Reform
    - {Community Policing} There is a growing recognition that policing needs to be community-focused, transparent, and accountable to the people it serves.
    - {Legislative and Structural Changes} Effective reforms may require legal changes, restructuring the police hierarchy, and implementing new training programs to focus on human rights and community relations.

    Finally
The sentiment that the Nigerian police force was designed against the Nigerian masses speaks to a broader issue of accountability, trust, and the need for substantial reforms within the police system. Ongoing dialogues, public protests, and calls for systemic change are crucial for reshaping the police force into an institution that genuinely serves and protects all Nigerians. A focus on community engagement, transparency, and accountability is essential for rebuilding trust and ensuring that the police serve their intended purpose.Since the Nigeria still not in control of the force nothing will be done to make it work , to me (JTT) I don't expect anything meaningful from them until Nigeria create her own police force.

  • *TOPIC: BELIEVING GOD FOR THE MIRACULOUS.*(Series 1)

    *Scripture Reading:* Matthew 17:26-27

*"When Peter said, “From strangers,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are exempt [from taxation]. However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take it and give it to them [to pay the temple tax] for you and Me.”*(AMP)

By the grace of God, the Holy Spirit will be helping us in this series to really trust God for the better life we desire. As we go deep in the teaching, you will be miraculously helped in Jesus Christ name. Amen!

*Miracles are extraordinary occurrences that can only be attributed to the supernatural work of God and demonstrate His involvement in human history.*

    FOUR MAJOR TYPES OF MIRACLES:

Miracles, extraordinary events demonstrating divine intervention in human affairs, can be traced from Genesis to Revelation and divided into four main categories.

*1) Physical miracles:* This miracles, such as the man at the gate called Beautiful, who went walking, leaping and praising God when Peter and John commanded him to be made whole. *"Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God."*(Acts 3:6-8 NIV)

*2) Provisional miracles:* Today's Scripture, when Jesus provided money for Peter to pay taxes, ordered him to go to the river to make a catch. Peter obeyed and found the money in the mouth of the fish which was used to pay their taxes.

*3) Miracles of protection or deliverance:* Example is like when Peter was delivered out of prison by an angel(Acts 12:6-9), or when an angel appeared to Paul and told him all lives on board his sinking ship would be saved. Finally,

*4) Signs and wonders that God performs:* miracles that simply prove His power or existence, like when God proof Himself at the Red Sea before the Egyptians. *"Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord swept the sea back by a strong east wind all that night and turned the seabed into dry land, and the waters were divided."*(Exodus 14:21 AMP). It's your turn to shout for joy at this season and I pray for you this morning that may you experience one of this Miracles before the year runs out in Jesus Christ name. Amen! To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. Good morning and do have a fruitful week, peace.

*Prayer point:* Thank you father, the miracle worker., the way maker, the great provider, the great physician and the destiny molder, come and visit my life today in Jesus Christ name. Amen!

  • *TOPIC: CHRISTIAN HOME: PILLARS THAT SUSTAIN MARRIAGES*(Series 9)

    *Scripture Reading:* Ephesians 5:21-33

THE CONCLUDING PART: Glory to God in the highest for His Grace over our marriages and I beseech you brethren to put God in the center of your homes that's, His Glory may continue to manifest in our various homes. *Both husband and wife should work on all these discussed pillars because it has great impact in our marriages because for any marriage to fulfill destiny, those pillars mentioned must be part of our lives.*

Your wife is your own portion and likewise wife, your husband is your portion. Hold yourself tight and never allow the devil to wispier lies into your ears. Work more on yourself, build a lasting homes and make your marriage heaven on earth. It's my earnest prayer that the Holy Spirit will enlightened you more. Good morning and happy Sunday, peace.

*SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR OUR MARRIAGE:* *Lord God, I pray for every person reading this today that You will encourage them through Your Word and strengthen their marriage. I ask that every husband and wife will turn to You, Lord Jesus, and remember that You are their First Love - their sure foundation. I also pray specifically for husbands to have such a deep and sacrificial love for their wives; they will be willing to lay down their lives for them. Help them care for their wives as they care for their own bodies, feeding them, nurturing them, and providing for them in the most loving of ways. I pray for wives to dismiss the belief that submission is a sign of weakness and instead embrace it as a powerful example of the Holy Spirit in them. Please Lord, give them a sense of great joy in submitting to their husbands as is fitting to You. Let there be a healthy, holy balance of give-and-take that is full of love, mercy, and gentleness. Most of all, Lord, build a solid foundation for every marriage committed to You. Brick by brick, establish the groundwork for couples - no matter how long they've been married - to build upon Christ Jesus and thrive in their marriages as a witness of Your work in their lives. I ask for a special blessing on marriage in general, as a sacred union between a man and a woman. I pray for a hedge of protection around this union that Your mighty hand will lead couples to honor you in their relationships and seek You in all things. I pray these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ Amen!*
