*TOPIC: DRINK WATER FROM YOUR OWN WELL.*(Series 4)

*Scripture Reading:* Proverbs 9:17-18

*“Stolen waters (pleasures) are sweet [because they are forbidden]; And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” But he does not know that the spirits of the dead are there, And that her guests are [already] in the depths of Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead)."*(AMP)

Let me explain the above scripture to you. Sin is sweet and beautiful because the end has been concluded right from the beginning. 'DEATH' is the end thereof. Whoever go after a strange woman/man has signed up completely to death warrant because the reward of every sin is DEATH. Proverbs 6:32 says; *"But whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks common sense and sound judgment and an understanding [of moral principles]; He who would destroy his soul does it."*(AMP) So therefore, any man or woman that fornicate around or commiting adultery lack simple common sense because he/she personally endanger his/her soul.

NOTE: It's not a SIN for your body to react to passion for sex or Romance especially even when its not your wife or while you're still single because your spirit and soul are inside a body called 'FLESH' but it becomes a SIN the moment you allowed the flesh to dictate or rule over your spirit. *So, if you're a single and you are already having sex or you are married and still keep side chicks around, the spirit man in you has already been silenced or in coma and by then, the flesh is already in charge.*

Solomon gives a warning to those who heed Folly: *“Little do they know that the dead are there. Her guests are in the depths of the grave”* (Proverbs 9:18, NLT). At first, sex beyond the bounds of marriage may seem exciting and enjoyable, but it eventually defiles and destroys everyone who partakes of it (Proverbs 6:20–35).

The Bible teaches that God is the ultimate spring of living water, a fountain welling up to eternal life (Jeremiah 17:13; John 4:10–26; 7:37). In prophetic Scripture, unfaithfulness to God is compared to adultery, using a similar metaphor: *“My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water”*(Jeremiah 2:13).

Jesus further intensified the instruction to drink water from your own cistern(make love only to your dear wife/husband). *He said that even looking with lust or fantasizing about someone other than your spouse is the same as committing adultery* (Matthew 5:27–28). *Scripture Reading:* Hebrew 13:4

**Marriage is to be held in honor among all [that is, regarded as something of great value], and the marriage bed undefiled [by immorality or by any sexual sin]; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous."*(AMP)

Whatever a man/woman doesn't have license to becomes deadly, shameful, irritating, disgraceful. Why doing it when you know you're not free? *The questions you always ask yourself is this, what if her husband/wife cought me red handed or what if she/he die in the hotel room, what will I do? You're not free despite the fact that you're messing around, you know you're not free. Reason because you do not have license to it.* There's more to sex.

Sex outside marriage is an open door or highway for demons to transfer from one person to another easily. Having sex with someone suffering from a demonic oppression or is possessed by demons will open a wide door for those demons to move from one person to another. This is part of the reason why Satan is pushing so hard for sexual sin. *Be careful. There is more to sex than the fun. In God’s institution of marriage, sex is wonderful. Outside of it, you are inviting problems that you might not correct in an entire lifetime.* According to the scripture, marriage is honor. Meaning, sex is an honor thing not just a fun.

In the context of Proverbs 15:5, for a man to drink water from his own cistern is for him to share sensual love only with his wife: *“Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone? You should reserve it for yourselves. Never share it with strangers. Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you”* (Proverbs 5:16–18, NLT). Like spilling precious water into the streets, adultery is wasting one’s love on strangers.

The command to drink water from your own cistern forbids marital infidelity of any form. Sexual intimacy is to be guarded exclusively for the joy, pleasure, and fulfillment of love between a husband and a wife (Hebrews 13:4). Solomon develops similar imagery in Song of Solomon: *“You are my private garden, my treasure, my bride, a secluded spring, a hidden fountain. . . . You are a garden fountain, a well of fresh water streaming down from Lebanon’s mountains”* (Song of Solomon 4:12, 15, NLT).*God blesses sexual intimacy, but it is a “private garden,” “secluded spring,” and “hidden fountain” to be enjoyed, cherished, and shared only by married couples and not in any other relationship.*

God designed sex not just for procreation but for refreshment and pleasure to be experienced by two people in the covenant of marriage (Genesis 1:28; 2:18, 23–24; Matthew 19:4–6; 1 Corinthians 7:32–34; Song of Solomon 4:16—5:1, 19). *Physical intimacy is God’s gift to strengthen a married couple’s emotional bond. In Solomon’s metaphor, sexual intimacy in marriage is like a satisfying drink of pure, cool spring water. But committing adultery is like stealing someone else’s water or ingesting polluted water from a drainage ditch or sewer.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. *"Drink water from your own cistern [of a pure marriage relationship] And fresh running water from your own well."*(AMP)

It's my earnest prayer that the Lord we open the eyes of our understanding as we begin this series in Jesus name. Amen!

We are in such a generation that sex has graduated out of God's own original plan, now to child play and demonic means of destroying glorious destinies. *Sex is everywhere now. It's in our own generation we see children having sex and even the parents see nothing wrong in it.* You see it on social media everyday how sex is being abused and the worse part of it is polluting the altar of God. So many ministers of God has release themselves for lust and the devil trick them into fornication and adultery right there at the altar of God.

*In God’s institution of marriage, sex is wonderful, beautiful and perfect. Outside of it, you are inviting problems that you might not correct in an entire lifetime.* Am sure many of you might have read the scripture above from the book of Proverbs but not many realize that it is talking about sex. King Solomon instructs us to continually drinking water out of our own cistern or well. Comparing sex to *'drinking water and well',* does it really make sense to you?

The Lord is speaking figuratively and calls sex “water”. This is very foundational and instructional to all of us. There are very few ways that sin manifests its dominion over humanity that can be compared to sexual craving. It is the idolatry of the modern world that has replaced worshipping of stones and sticks in the ancient world. *However, God is the Author of sex. The verse above gives us one of His purposes for sex by calling sex water. Water satisfies the thirst or inner need or longing of a person’s soul.* 

That is how God originally created sex to meet a deep and inner longing of a person’s body and soul. *However, He tells us above “drink water from your own cistern”, meaning you should have sexual relations only with your wife or husband only.*

Sex outside of marriage is drinking water from another person’s well, whether before marriage or after marriage. *Either the water is clean or not, either is stinking or not, either is forbidden or not you don't care and all you want is to satisfy yourself of five minutes enjoyment and bring in disaster into your life.*

Satan is destroying lives, homes, and entire communities with uncontrollable sexual passions and desires. To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. Good morning and do have a great weekend, peace.

"Over the years, I have been tagged the villain of the Plantashun history, some say I followed money and betrayed my brothers in the hustle.

Others say I stole a song and made it my hit.

I have ignored it all because I am an enigma and my life revolves around peace, I try not to chase the problematic side of life, my loving wife Ani would always urge me to say something and clear my name but I gave it time.

I gave it time because time reveals all things.

We are growing grey now, our kids shouldn't see themselves and say "Hey your daddy stole my daddy's song and made fame from it". That would drop the pride in my kids so I have to clear the air.

What a lot of people do not know is that; I took permission from its writer as a professional would do.

The writer told me "haba bro, we are brothers from Idoma, I am creative with writing, I can write another. This one Na the least track wey I get self wey go blow"

He underestimated the African Queen, I went ahead to record it, energized and gave it a vibe with my voice and it went beyond Africa to the world.

It became a global hit that pulled platinum sales for my former record label Kennis Music. African Queen became a movement that reawakened the awareness in the beauty of an African woman, it became a sound of the Pan-African spirit and it brought home an Award from MTv.

As a peaceful man, I still contacted the writer to show him love from my own earnings, because as at that time, my whole doings were sponsored by Kennis so they controlled my funds.

I offered the writer ₦2 million naira and a plot land in Otukpo Benue State but he told me he deserved more than that.

I tried to make the writer understand this thing I am offering is coming from my small savings and will do more in future as I grow bigger. The writer needed more because he felt I was global and worth more with no consideration of me under a label.

I even brought it to the attention of my King but the writer still stood his ground.

At that point, I decided to move on and let destiny play its role because it was becoming a distraction in my career.

The record label is operated like a football business, they do not just sign you to come and warm the bench but to bring home the accolades.

Angélique Kidjo first black African to get Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Musical icon Angélique Kidjo has become the first black African performer to be selected for a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Kidjo, who comes from the West African country of Benin and has won five Grammy awards, was among the 35 names announced as part of the Walk of Fame's class of 2026 list.

The 64-year-old was hailed as Africa's "premier diva" during a press conference announcing the list on Wednesday.

Singer Miley Cyrus, actor Timothée Chalamet, actress Demi Moore and former basketball player Shaquille O'Neal are also among those set to be honoured with a star on Los Angeles' famous walk.


Kidjo receives the honour after making music for more than four decades and releasing 16 albums.

The songstress has won fans across the world with her commanding voice and ability to fuse West African styles with the likes of funk, jazz and R&B.

Her long list of collaborators includes forces such as Burna Boy, Philip Glass, Sting and Alicia Keys.

Kidjo joins Charlize Theron, a white South African actress, in representing Africa on the Walk of Fame, which comprises more than 2,700 stars.

Theron received her star in 2005.

The date on which Kidjo will see her star unveiled on the Walk of Fame has not yet been announced.

After recipients have been selected for a star, they have two years to schedule induction ceremonies.

Kidjo grew up in Benin, but left for Paris in 1983, citing oppression from the country's then communist government.

"From the moment the communist regime arrived in Benin, I became aware that the freedom we enjoy can be snatched away in a second," she told the BBC in 2023.

She said she has been driven by curiosity since childhood, adding: "my nickname was 'when, why, how?'. I want to understand things, to understand my place in this world."

Kidjo worked as a backing singer in France before striking out as a solo artist in 1990, with the album Parakou.

She is a Unicef and Oxfam goodwill ambassador, and has her own charity, Batonga, which is dedicated to supporting the education of young girls in Africa.

2027: Abia North Traditional Rulers Endorse Gov Alex Otti For Second Term

The Abia North Traditional Rulers Council has unanimously endorsed Governor Alex Otti for a second term in office, citing his transformational governance and visible development strides across the State.

In a Communiqué issued at the end of its meeting held on Tuesday, 25th June 2025, at the Isuikwuato Local Government Headquarters, the council passed a vote of confidence on Governor Otti, describing him as “a man who has redefined governance in Abia State and touched lives positively”.

The Meeting, which brought together royal fathers from Arochukwu, Ohafia, Bende, Isuikwuato, and Umunneochi Local Government Areas, highlighted with deep appreciation the impact and effectiveness of the Otti-led administration in key sectors including infrastructure, security, environmental sanitation, healthcare, education, and the welfare of traditional rulers.

According to the communiqué, “Visible projects done by the Governor, including reconstruction of roads, retrofitting of Primary Healthcare centres, renovation of Schools among others”, were applauded by the Monarchs.

They agreed to “work assiduously to support the government of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, particularly in the area of Security by aligning with all the Security Agencies to ensure the nooks and crannies of Abia State are safe and secured”.

The Traditional Rulers also pledged their full support to the Otti-led administration, particularly in strengthening security at the grassroots.
