  • Who is the devil to you?

Many individuals believe that society has oversimplified or misunderstood the notion of evil. The following are several perspectives on this issue:

    1. **Cultural Interpretations**: Different cultures and religions have varying definitions of evil, often shaped by historical contexts, moral frameworks, and societal norms. What one society views as evil, another may see as acceptable or even necessary.

    2. **Moral Relativism**: The idea that morality is not absolute but rather relative to the individual or culture suggests that definitions of good and evil can vary widely. This can lead to misunderstandings about the nature of evil when viewed from different perspectives.

    3. **Psychological Factors**: Some argue that evil actions can stem from psychological issues, trauma, or social conditions rather than inherent malevolence. This perspective emphasizes understanding the root causes of harmful behavior rather than simply labeling it as evil.

    4. **Complexity of Human Nature**: Humans are capable of both good and evil, and many actions fall into a gray area. Simplifying individuals into categories of "good" or "evil" can overlook the complexities of human motivation and behavior.

    5. **Societal Influences**: The influence of society, including media, politics, and education, can shape perceptions of evil. For example, fear and misunderstanding can lead to the demonization of certain groups or ideas.

Overall, the concept of evil is multifaceted and often requires a deeper exploration beyond surface-level judgments. What are your thoughts on this?

  • Nigeria just lost one of the last traditional wood carver and we didn’t know!!!
I often visited Mr Yinka Fabayo in his Oshogbo studio, sometimes to buy one of his beautiful wood sculptures, other times to pick up fabrics from his ever-gracious wife. Each visit was met with his signature welcome: a heavy punch to my shoulder, a squeeze deep handshake, followed by a warm smile and an unforgettable hug.
Whenever he had an engagement in Ile-Ife, he and his wife would make the trip to my house, and we would share the kind of fellowship that is very rare between a senior artist and a mentee.

We had planned to go to the Qatar show together. I had helped him curated all his works, photographed each sculpture with care, full of excitement for what was to come, but life, in its own way, had other plans.
Egbon Fabayo, You didn’t just live a good life, you left a legacy, you made impact, you built community, you made great art, you carved history, and you lived a deeply fulfilling life.

When you get to the other side, extend my greetings to Lamidi Olonade Fakeye, Õlówè of Ise, Areogun, Bisi Fakeye, but find time to rest well, because you really worked!! You worked!!
May God grant you eternal peace. We will miss you

  • It's funny, but let it be known that most of you don't know Jumabee. This is very simple and straightforward. First, before I proceed, I will give you all a simple understanding of what the Jumabee show is all about. The Jumabee show has been going on for over six years now, and he has brought so many big artists from Lagos and other parts of the country to perform in Kogi State. This is the only way to push Kogi State up there in the entertainment world. This year's show comes with different developments, which include the Kogi Entertainment Summit. Before the entertainment summit, Jumabee asked his team to confirm every entertainer from Kogi State and within. Let me tell you, most of the people they confirmed their pictures for, Jumabee is not even aware of them. This is his way of uniting Kogi State artists. It's very wrong to use an artist's picture without informing their management, but it depends on the nature of the show. First, Jumabee is not collecting tickets for the show; the show is practically free. If you know want it means to fly over 20 Artist from Lagos State to Abuja, then transportation from Abuja to Kogi state. The security details, the feeding, the accommodation and other unknown bills, you will understand what this dude has been sacrificing all this years. Lets give Jumabee his flower... This hero that come from Kogi state has really tried. Peace✌
