*TOPIC: DRINK WATER FROM YOUR OWN WELL.*(Series 5)

*Scripture Reading:* Titus 1:15-16

*"To the pure, all things are pure; but to the corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure; both their mind and their conscience are corrupted. They profess to know God [to recognize and be acquainted with Him], but by their actions they deny and disown Him. They are detestable and disobedient and worthless for good work of any kind."*(AMP)

Drinking water from another person's well (going after a strange woman/man) can be fun and beautiful in its beginnings; however, its fruits will always be bitter consequences for those who get involved in this destructive lie. And sometimes, the person involved might not be able to live to tell the story. I will be sharing with you few major causes of adultery and fornication:

*1) The corruption of the soul:* “But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.” Proverbs 6:32.

The person who commits adultery and fornicate around finds pleasure in it, and this is due to contaminated of his soul by evil; his thoughts are insane and wrong with a turbulence of emotions that control him.

“Corrupting the soul” has to do with rotting, destroying, damaging, attacking, upsetting; The person whose soul is corrupted never acts in the right way, but the evil that is inside him is what leads him to sin. And that's why our today's scripture says; *To the pure, everything is pure but to the corrupt, everything is evil.*

*2) Spiritual Blindness:* Proverbs 6:20 says; *“Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?”* Adultery always begins as an adventure; During the first stage, everything seems to be great and the person believes that he has achieved what is really going to satisfy him; however, this sin blinds him and stop him from seeing the serious error in which he is.

The adulterous person always ends up losing. If discovered, trust is lost and also there might be the case that the person can also lose his family. What begins as a simple “slip” or “vent” as many call it, could end up into a chaos. *When a person is spiritually blind, everything becomes right. *TOPIC: DRINK WATER FROM YOUR OWN WELL.*(Series 4)

*Scripture Reading:* Proverbs 9:17-18

*“Stolen waters (pleasures) are sweet [because they are forbidden]; And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” But he does not know that the spirits of the dead are there, And that her guests are [already] in the depths of Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead)."*(AMP)

Let me explain the above scripture to you. Sin is sweet and beautiful because the end has been concluded right from the beginning. 'DEATH' is the end thereof. Whoever go after a strange woman/man has signed up completely to death warrant because the reward of every sin is DEATH. Proverbs 6:32 says; *"But whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks common sense and sound judgment and an understanding [of moral principles]; He who would destroy his soul does it."*(AMP) So therefore, any man or woman that fornicate around or commiting adultery lack simple common sense because he/she personally endanger his/her soul.

NOTE: It's not a SIN for your body to react to passion for sex or Romance especially even when its not your wife or while you're still single because your spirit and soul are inside a body called 'FLESH' but it becomes a SIN the moment you allowed the flesh to dictate or rule over your spirit. *So, if you're a single and you are already having sex or you are married and still keep side chicks around, the spirit man in you has already been silenced or in coma and by then, the flesh is already in charge.*

Solomon gives a warning to those who heed Folly: *“Little do they know that the dead are there. Her guests are in the depths of the grave”* (Proverbs 9:18, NLT). At first, sex beyond the bounds of marriage may seem exciting and enjoyable, but it eventually defiles and destroys everyone who partakes of it (Proverbs 6:20–35).

The Bible teaches that God is the ultimate spring of living water, a fountain welling up to eternal life (Jeremiah 17:13; John 4:10–26; 7:37). In prophetic Scripture, unfaithfulness to God is compared to adultery, using a similar metaphor: *“My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water”*(Jeremiah 2:13).

Jesus further intensified the instruction to drink water from your own cistern(make love only to your dear wife/husband). *He said that even looking with lust or fantasizing about someone other than your spouse is the same as committing adultery* (Matthew 5:27–28). *Scripture Reading:* Proverbs 5:16

The world glamorizes sex outside of marriage. In fact, did you notice that the flesh tells you that sexual adventures are better than being stuck with one man or woman? If you doubt it, an adulterer in Proverbs, today's Scripture told us about it. She said *“Stolen water is sweet”*(Prov. 9:17 ESV). Do you know what that means? *"She is saying when you cheat or “have fun before marriage” with sex, it is sweeter."*   A related verse tells us that ; *"Food gained by deceit is sweet to a man, But afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel [just as sin may be sweet at first, but later its consequences bring despair]."*(Proverbs 20:17 AMP)

Why will you choose to die unfulfilled just because you want to satisfy your sexual desire? Having sex before marriage doesn't give you pleasure but death warrant. Whatever the Lord hates and condemned has become a great sin to whoever commit it. What that scripture is telling you is this; *Sin is sweet, beautiful but the outcome is death. Let me break it down to you: When a man and a woman had sex together, blood and water are directly involved. Man gain access to the destiny of the woman and the woman also gain access to the destiny of the man. Meaning, they have shared strong covenant.*

Sex is God’s natural gift to us. Satan is taking advantage of it to ruin lives and destroy God’s purposes in our lives. The Lord instructed us to drink water from our own well! That's, only have sex with your own wedded wife/husband. Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, *“The two will become one flesh”* (1 Corinthians. 6:16 ESV).

There is an aspect of sexual sin that many who get trapped in it are completely unaware of. Sex is an extremely spiritual act, that goes deeper than the sensual pleasures that come with it. *There are three critical aspects of sex: THE PHYSICAL ACT, THE SENSUAL PLEASURE, AND A SPIRITUAL COMPONENT.*

1 Corinthians 6:16 above says when a man has sexual relations with a prostitute( adultery or fornication), he becomes one body with her. This is immediately compared with the mystery that occurs when a man believes in Jesus and becomes one spirit with Him ( v17). These are not natural but spiritual phenomena. *Sex is one of the most spiritual things you can ever do! This is one of the reasons why Satan is doing everything in his power to invest his best resources to propagate sexual sin(the bad sex) because this sin gives him access to ruin and destroy people’s lives in a way that no other human activity does.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. *Scripture Reading:* Proverbs 5:15

*"Drink water from your own cistern [of a pure marriage relationship] And fresh running water from your own well."*(AMP)

It's my earnest prayer that the Lord we open the eyes of our understanding as we begin this series in Jesus name. Amen!

We are in such a generation that sex has graduated out of God's own original plan, now to child play and demonic means of destroying glorious destinies. *Sex is everywhere now. It's in our own generation we see children having sex and even the parents see nothing wrong in it.* You see it on social media everyday how sex is being abused and the worse part of it is polluting the altar of God. So many ministers of God has release themselves for lust and the devil trick them into fornication and adultery right there at the altar of God.

*In God’s institution of marriage, sex is wonderful, beautiful and perfect. Outside of it, you are inviting problems that you might not correct in an entire lifetime.* Am sure many of you might have read the scripture above from the book of Proverbs but not many realize that it is talking about sex. King Solomon instructs us to continually drinking water out of our own cistern or well. Comparing sex to *'drinking water and well',* does it really make sense to you?

The Lord is speaking figuratively and calls sex “water”. This is very foundational and instructional to all of us. There are very few ways that sin manifests its dominion over humanity that can be compared to sexual craving. It is the idolatry of the modern world that has replaced worshipping of stones and sticks in the ancient world. *However, God is the Author of sex. The verse above gives us one of His purposes for sex by calling sex water. Water satisfies the thirst or inner need or longing of a person’s soul.* 

That is how God originally created sex to meet a deep and inner longing of a person’s body and soul. *However, He tells us above “drink water from your own cistern”, meaning you should have sexual relations only with your wife or husband only.*

Sex outside of marriage is drinking water from another person’s well, whether before marriage or after marriage. *Either the water is clean or not, either is stinking or not, either is forbidden or not you don't care and all you want is to satisfy yourself of five minutes enjoyment and bring in disaster into your life.*

Satan is destroying lives, homes, and entire communities with uncontrollable sexual passions and desires. To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace. Good morning and do have a great weekend, peace.

*Prayer point:* Thank you Holy Spirit for this revelation, and I ask for forgiveness for yielding to lust of the flesh. Forgive me dear Lord in Jesus Christ name. Amen!

Nigeria just lost one of the last traditional wood carver and we didn’t know!!!
I often visited Mr Yinka Fabayo in his Oshogbo studio, sometimes to buy one of his beautiful wood sculptures, other times to pick up fabrics from his ever-gracious wife. Each visit was met with his signature welcome: a heavy punch to my shoulder, a squeeze deep handshake, followed by a warm smile and an unforgettable hug.
Whenever he had an engagement in Ile-Ife, he and his wife would make the trip to my house, and we would share the kind of fellowship that is very rare between a senior artist and a mentee.

We had planned to go to the Qatar show together. I had helped him curated all his works, photographed each sculpture with care, full of excitement for what was to come, but life, in its own way, had other plans.
Egbon Fabayo, You didn’t just live a good life, you left a legacy, you made impact, you built community, you made great art, you carved history, and you lived a deeply fulfilling life.

When you get to the other side, extend my greetings to Lamidi Olonade Fakeye, Õlówè of Ise, Areogun, Bisi Fakeye, but find time to rest well, because you really worked!! You worked!!
