Governor Uba Sani had the honor of receiving the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, and senior officers of the Nigerian Army on a courtesy visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna. The visit was part of the activities marking the 2025 Army Day Celebration, which Kaduna State is proud to host.

The Chief of Army Staff commended the Governor for his inclusive governance style and the success of the Kaduna Peace Model, which has significantly improved peace and security across the state. He also expressed appreciation for the consistent support provided to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in Kaduna.

In his remarks, Governor Uba Sani praised the Chief of Army Staff for his dedication to service and lauded the Nigerian Army’s role in fostering unity, peace, and development. He noted that the sacrifices of the military in securing the nation are deeply appreciated, and Nigerians owe the troops immense gratitude for their courage and commitment.

Embrace Integrity, Olukoyede Urges Students

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede has charged students in the country to shun all forms of economic and financial crimes and embrace a life of integrity for a fulfilling future.

He gave the charge recently during the induction of students of Excellent Kiddies Academy, Bwari, Abuja into EFCC’s Integrity Club.

Represented by the Head of the Interface Unit of the Public Affairs Department of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC I, Tony Orilade, Olukoyede emphasized the importance of moral uprightness among young people, urging them to surround themselves with individuals who uphold integrity and positive values.

“To secure a brighter future, you must get it right from the beginning. Surround yourself with good people, friends and acquaintances that will help you grow in wisdom and integrity,” he said.

While warning them against associating with individuals involved in financial crimes, he stated that negative influence from such people could draw them to criminal behaviours and that could in turn, earn them grave consequences.

“Anyone who engages in financial crimes is on a path that leads to jail. Once convicted, such a person becomes an ex-convict and loses the opportunity to hold any public office in Nigeria. That is a heavy price to pay for associating with the wrong crowd,” he said.

Olukoyede further stated that the project of inaugurating EFCC’s Integrity Club in primary and secondary schools was part of the Commission’s policy of “catching them young,” which is about nurturing children to be ambassadors of integrity in their homes, schools, communities, and the country at large.

Also speaking at the event, the Head of Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit of the Commission, Assistant Commander of the EFCC II, Aisha Mohammed, enlightened the children on the functions and activities of the EFCC. She encouraged them to be honest, disciplined, and upright in their daily lives, noting that integrity is a crucial ingredient for success.

“Youths must understand that honesty and integrity are values that never go out of fashion. They open doors and keep you on the right path in life,” she said.

The highlight of the induction ceremony was a quiz competition that dwelt on EFCC and its operations. Two students, Glory Okinbaliyi and Divine Oyaniyi Bimbola emerged winners and were rewarded with android smartphones.

In his vote of thanks, the Integrity Club Master of the school, Mr. Gbenga Jatau, expressed appreciation to the EFCC Chairman and management his team for bringing the club to the school.

“On behalf of the management, staff, and students of Excellent Kiddies Academy, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to the EFCC Chairman for this great honour. We applaud the Commission’s unwavering commitment to fighting all forms of economic and financial crimes and building a better Nigeria,” he said.

*5) Understanding:* 1Peter 3:7 says; *"In the same way you husbands must live with your wives with the proper understanding that they are more delicate than you. Treat them with respect, because they also will receive, together with you, God's gift of life. Do this so that nothing will interfere with your prayers."* Understanding one another is a pillar that has everything to do with going to school. *A husband’s job is to become a student of his wife. A wife’s job is to become a student of her husband.*

Husband and wife might ask the following questions:

How well do I know my spouse?

Am I aware of what he/she likes to eat?

Do I know what it is that makes him/her happy? Sad? Frustrated? Angry?

Am I aware of how he/she will react in certain situations?

How does he/she think and communicate?

Why does he/she feel certain ways?

*Understanding one’s spouse is vital in order to ensure that one will be able to show respect, communicate effectively, and be what that other person needs.*

There are a variety of books and seminars that deal with the issue of trying to understand one’s spouse. What they all have in common is the premise that a husband can learn about a wife and a wife can learn about a husband. The key is to learn what one’s spouse interprets as love and do that, even though one’s tendency is to do what would make oneself feel loved.

Governor Otti Commends Efforts Of Security Men As He Sends-Forth Five Former Service Commanders in Abia State. Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has commended the past service commanders who served in the State for their good services rendered to ensure security of lives and property in the State. Governor Alex Otti gave the commendation on Friday, June 20th at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Umuahia during a send-forth ceremony organised by the State Government for 5 out-gone service commanders who served in Abia State. "I want to use this opportunity to thank you so much for the service that you rendered to our State. It is also an opportunity to thank the current service commanders for carrying on from where you left the battle." Governor Alex Otti said that hosting out-gone service commanders has become a tradition of his administration and assured them that Abia State is still their home. "This is a tradition we have established in this State. That, if our service commanders who have served for not less than a year are leaving, we celebrate them. And, we give them small parting gifts to remember when they were here (in Abia). And like the commander of the Nigerian Navy said, it is also a way of encouraging those who are serving to put in their best. Knowing fully well that one day, it will be their turn." "So, I would like to tell the out-gone service commanders that you have a home here in Abia. You can always come anytime to visit us," Gov. Otti assured. The Governor said that based on the cooperation and support of the service commanders, the State was able to cage insecurity and criminal activities. "That, we were able to cage insecurity, kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, just name it, is because of you. And we were very deliberate about it. These are fine gentlemen who are properly trained," Gov. Otti stated. In their responses, some of the celebrants, including Brigadier General O.O Diya of the Nigerian Army, Navy Captain O. A. Eyitayo of the Nigerian Navy, Dr. Shelema Muhammed Soso of the DSS and Chidi Nnadi of the NDLEA expressed gratitude to Governor Alex Otti for the honour done them and said that, it would encourage the service commanders serving currently in Abia State. They said that they are happy over the achievements made in security and infrastructural developments under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti in Abia State and expressed confidence, that with the good relationship existing between the Governor and the security agents in Abia State, the State would enjoy adequate security.
