His journey to prison began after he was arrested by the operatives of EFCC at his Ikoyi, Lagos residence on September 12, 2015, following a petition received by the Commission from an outdoor advertising company , Afromedia.

Gobir, according to the petitioner, was introduced to the Company by its private placement consultants, Synergy Capital Advisory Limited, sometime in 2008.

He, thereafter, offered to invest the sum of N1billion in Afromedia, a pretext that earned him a position as Chairman, Business Development Committee, on the Board of Directors.

Investigation revealed that Gobir, having earned the trust of the company’s Board, defrauded the company of several millions in hard currency.

He was subsequently arraigned on March 17, 2016 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 17-count charge bordering on obtaining under false pretence, stealing, possession of fraudulent documents and forgery.

He pleaded “ not guilty” to the charge, thereby leading to his full trial.

During the trial, the prosecution counsel, Nnaemeka Omewa, called four witnesses and tendered several documents that were admitted in evidence against the defendant. The defence counsel, Y.B. Bayero called three witnesses.

Delivering judgment on Wednesday, Justice Adebiyi convicted and sentenced the defendant to seven years imprisonment on count 1 of obtaining under false pretence; counts four and five of stealing and counts 8, 11, 14 & 17 of possession of fraudulent documents.

He was sentenced to six months imprisonment on counts four and five of stealing.

The sentences are to run concurrently.

The Judge ordered the convict to pay restitution of $1 million USD and ₦123 million for the convictions on counts four and five for stealing.

The restitution is to be paid to the nominal complainant.

The court, however, discharged him on the counts of forgery and being in possession of forged documents.

  • MY LETTER TO THE WORLD ON
HOW TO ALLEVIATE WORLD PROBLEMS IN OUR CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY.

In contemporary society, a multitude of abnormalities persist on a daily and nightly basis, spanning generations. The continued practice of misguided belief systems prompts the inquiry: how can we terminate this chaos? Consider the following: the concept of racial superiority is fundamentally flawed. Individuals from all ethnic backgrounds require assistance from one another. We are designed to coexist, sharing resources and celebrating diversity. It is apparent that life's offerings are not exclusive to one race; discoveries and innovations are intended to benefit humanity collectively. Ultimately, nothing in life is solely reserved for one group.

    1) The reality that I emphasize in my messages to the world is that all humans are connected and originate from a single source. What constitutes a better life, which is comprised of everything that brings us happiness and fulfillment? Through my examination of life, I have come to realize that we all share the same fundamental needs. Moreover, I have found that even before humanity came into existence, everything required for a fulfilling life was already in place. We do not need to be selfish or harmful; our desires can be attained through love and mutual respect. Africa, America, China, and India are all valuable contributors to the world, and failure to recognize this is a sign of ignorance that requires attention.

    (2) Failure to acknowledge the truth about our perspectives on other races: It will astonish you to learn about the self-perceptions of Chinese, Indian, Black, and White individuals. Instead of collaborating and educating ourselves about the realities of life, some races attempt to conceal, destroy other cultures, and manipulate them to perpetuate exploitation. However, this behavior will not persist indefinitely, and eventually, the suppressed and exploited individuals will acquire the capacity to rise up against their oppressors, leading to a reversal of consequences. I emphasized that it is foolish for any race to consider itself superior to others; we are one, one world, one God, one humanity, we want a good life, a beautiful earth, highlighting that the world's resources are sufficient for humanity to share, and we will never exhaust them.

(3)Every individual has free will, except for minors who require supervision. So-called international laws that supposedly aim to improve the world appear to favor one race over others. In response to the corona virus, Africans developed their own solutions, but these required approval from the World Health Organization, resulting in delays pending WHO validation. In Nigeria, many companies are closing because overseas companies do not want local solution providers to coexist with their own, so they use their collective power to stop it. If we are to achieve peace and progress, we must work together, love one another, and share with one another. Otherwise, a time will come when no human can stop the nemesis of our corrupt attitudes. Interestingly, the most corrupt country in the world, which is also ranked as the most curious, questions why it is not listed among the corrupt nations. We must allow every country and race to decide what is good for them, as nobody should rule the world due to the lack of human capacity, which only the creator possesses.

To summarize, the notion that one human being is superior to another is a falsehood, as is the idea that we do not need each other's support in life. Additionally, it is a misconception that any race can exist independently of others. It is also untrue that we do not all require the necessities of life, which bring fulfillment. It is an established fact that humanity shares a common origin. Consequently, we must work collaboratively with love, respect each other's cultural diversity, and share the resources provided by our creators for our mutual benefit.

    Blackface and two-face controversy

    -Innocent 2Baba Idibia

"Over the years, I have been tagged the villain of the Plantashun history, some say I followed money and betrayed my brothers in the hustle.

Others say I stole a song and made it my hit.

I have ignored it all because I am an enigma and my life revolves around peace, I try not to chase the problematic side of life, my loving wife Ani would always urge me to say something and clear my name but I gave it time.

I gave it time because time reveals all things.

We are growing grey now, our kids shouldn't see themselves and say "Hey your daddy stole my daddy's song and made fame from it". That would drop the pride in my kids so I have to clear the air.

What a lot of people do not know is that; I took permission from its writer as a professional would do.

The writer told me "haba bro, we are brothers from Idoma, I am creative with writing, I can write another. This one Na the least track wey I get self wey go blow"

He underestimated the African Queen, I went ahead to record it, energized and gave it a vibe with my voice and it went beyond Africa to the world.

It became a global hit that pulled platinum sales for my former record label Kennis Music. African Queen became a movement that reawakened the awareness in the beauty of an African woman, it became a sound of the Pan-African spirit and it brought home an Award from MTv.

As a peaceful man, I still contacted the writer to show him love from my own earnings, because as at that time, my whole doings were sponsored by Kennis so they controlled my funds.

I offered the writer ₦2 million naira and a plot land in Otukpo Benue State but he told me he deserved more than that.

I tried to make the writer understand this thing I am offering is coming from my small savings and will do more in future as I grow bigger. The writer needed more because he felt I was global and worth more with no consideration of me under a label.

I even brought it to the attention of my King but the writer still stood his ground.

At that point, I decided to move on and let destiny play its role because it was becoming a distraction in my career.

The record label is operated like a football business, they do not just sign you to come and warm the bench but to bring home the accolades.

  • I Mistakenly Drank Green Tea And This Happened To Me

So I use to pluck moringa leaf from a tree close to a house I was staying to make tea.

Things were going smoothly and I loved it because it makes me relax without getting addicted.

There are several ways I could relax, but most of them especially things to take have a very dangerous side effect: ADDICTION.

this is why I opted for moringa as the tea makes me feel well and grounded and helps me concentrate.

Things changed when I moved. I couldn't get any moringa tree around to pluck the leafs, and I just tried to forget about it.

My mind was off it totally when one day I mistakenly stumbled upon a thread on nairaland talking about the benefits of moringa, something I already knew. I was mistakenly going through the comments when someone said you can easily get it online or supermarket.

Supermarket? I mistakenly thought of it and decided to give it a try. It won't be fresh, but let me try it.

I mistakenly went to the supermarket and mistakenly asked for moringa. I was shown the section for tea and beverages and I mistakenly went there to look for it.

I didn't see moringa and I mistakenly looked well until I saw a packet written moringa.

I mistakenly picked it up, and saw that it was actually green tea and moringa. Instead of me to drop it, I mistakenly took it, thinking that the moringa covers for the green tea.

I haven't taken green tea, but I've heard of it. I mistakenly didn't consider the side effects, and I mistakenly bought the green tea disguised as moringa.

This was where my woes started. I mistakenly made the green tea moringa tea, and mistakenly drank it.

The taste was somehow, but not too bad. I felt alert and sharp, my memory clear and awesome.

I could remember things very clearly and my focus was sharp.

But I didn't know that I mistakenly started something that would have effect on me.

I wasn't looking forward to slimming down, I only wanted moringa tea to help me focus.

At first I felt clarity of mind and highly alert, but that was it. Any little thing, I quickly noticed and responded. Seems like I could hear ants walking, little details and sounds were very clear to me.

This was bad for me. The noise from moving cars, loud music, generator noise and noisy people around made it counter effective.

This wasn't the kind of clarity I wanted.

Actually want I needed was focus not total clarity. For me to be kinda numb to the world around and highly focused on things around me, the particular thing I'm attending to at the moment.

But I mistakenly took green moringa tea and it made me really light. My head was lighter than our current transparent black nylon.

Any little noise triggers me. I became restless and irritable.

    Night sleep? Gone

    Focus? Gone

    Steeze? Reduced drastically.

Instead of me to stop at first try, I mistakenly took the green moringa tea again, and again, until...

It now seems like all my flesh are gone and like they use spoon to scrape what's remaining, just like how I usually scrap off burnt rice from the bottom of delicious jollof rice back then.

What do I do? I don't want to mistakenly continue, I want my focus back.

    My steeze restored.

    My peaceful night sleep restored.

How do I counter this effect fast the natural way without substance that causes addiction?
I Mistakenly Drank Green Tea And This Happened To Me So I use to pluck moringa leaf from a tree close to a house I was staying to make tea. Gone Focus? Gone Steeze? Reduced drastically. Instead of me to stop at first try, I mistakenly took the green moringa tea again, and again, until... It now seems like all my flesh are gone and like they use spoon to scrape what's remaining, just like how I usually scrap off burnt rice from the bottom of delicious jollof rice back then. What do I do? I don't want to mistakenly continue, I want my focus back. My steeze restored. My peaceful night sleep restored. How do I counter this effect fast the natural way without substance that causes addiction?

  • To acquire 2025 Roce Royce is not cheap. Only the biggest boys does that but Victor Osimen did it without collecting permission from his brother Verydarkman who would have wanted him to invest the money in his charity organization.

I trust VDM. If he criticized Davido and Burnaboy for spending billions of Naira to acquire state-of-the-art cars instead of investing the money in his charity organisation, who is Osimen that VDM can't criticize him?

In the next few days, we will hear what VDM has to say for the new wonder-on-wheels Osimen acquired. Victor Osimen should start preparing his mind to welcome what his brother VDM has to say for the new car he bought.

  • In 2009, Nigerian actress Omoni Oboli walked out of a movie deal that would have earned her 90 million naira then, because of three scenes in the script.

She was contacted by a Hollywood producer to play a lead role in a movie that centred on African women. There were three scenes where she was supposed to go completely 'n@k3d' and play a character that was having 'the do' with three men.

She turned down the offer and said she would only take the role if the three scenes were removed or modified by the American producer. But the producer was not ready.

"I made it known to him (the Producer) that in my culture, you are only subject to your husband. I truly love my husband and he does too," she said.
