We’ll stop if Israel stops – Iran’s foreign Minister declares
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that Iran is prepared to halt its attacks—on the condition that Israel does the same.
Despite speculation, it remains unclear what role Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is playing in the negotiations, especially after he declared earlier on social media that Iran would not back down.
Israel has yet to confirm any move toward a ceasefire.
“There is NO agreement on a ceasefire or halt in operations,” Araghchi clarified in a post on X.
“But if the Israeli regime ceases its illegal aggression by 4 a.m. Tehran time, we will not continue our response.”
