*Scripture Reading:* Proverbs 15:4
*"A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life, But a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit."*(AMP)
*6) Mindfulness:* Be careful with your words. Once they are said, they can be only forgiven, not forgotten. *What kind of words do you say to your husband/wife?* Today's Scripture says; *"The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit."*
Couples have a great deal of power and influence over each other, and sometimes, this fact is ignored or forgotten and it has great impact in our marriages.
Our primary means of influence are the words we use to express ourselves to our partner.
*You have to decide to make your partner feel loved, supported, and connected through what you say to him/her.*
*7). Humility:* Sometimes, Couple think expressing humility means giving away your power. Not at all. True humility doesn’t mean becoming a doormat; *it means putting aside arrogance and the belief that your way is always the best way.* Proverbs 22:4 says; *"Humility is the fear of the LORD; its wages are riches and honor and life."*
