The Switch 2’s screen. Yeah, let’s talk about that. It’s an LCD. Not an OLED. People seem really unhappy about it, and honestly, I get it. OLED screens are pretty great. They have those vibrant colors and deep blacks that make everything look nice. But here we are, with the Switch 2 giving us an LCD instead. It’s like, "cool, I guess?"
I mean, when you think about it, we were all expecting something more exciting. The Switch 2 was supposed to be this big upgrade, and then they hit us with an LCD. Not exactly the thrilling reveal everyone was hoping for. There’s a lot of chatter online about how this choice affects the overall experience. Some folks are saying it’s a downgrade, and others are just kinda shrugging it off.
When you finally get the hardware in your hands, it’s supposed to feel like a big deal, but it seems like a lot of people are feeling underwhelmed. The discourse around the Switch 2’s display is pretty sour, and honestly, it’s hard to get too worked up about it. It’s just a screen, right?
Sure, we all want the best visuals for our games, but there’s also the reality that a lot of people will still enjoy playing games on the Switch 2, no matter what the screen is. I guess it comes down to what you prioritize. If you’re just looking to play games and have fun, the screen might not matter as much. But if you’re someone who really loves those stunning graphics and vibrant displays, I can see why you’d be disappointed.
At the end of the day, it’s just another console. There’s always going to be something for everyone, and not everyone is going to be happy with every choice made. Maybe it’s just one of those things we have to deal with.
So, yeah, that’s the vibe. The Switch 2 has its LCD screen, and some folks are really unhappy about it. Is it a big deal? I mean, kind of, but also not really. It’s just a screen. We’ll all get used to it, I suppose.
