Cybersecurity Professional Under Investigation for Alleged Digital Interference and IP Theft

A former associate of Forward Edge Consulting Ltd., John Ebinyi Odey, is under active investigation for alleged system interference and intellectual property theft.

Odey, who now operates under Redhound Consulting (also known as Stodachon), was recently detained by the Police Cybercrime Unit and has since been released under watch, with continued reporting requirements as the investigation expands. Sources suggest that law enforcement has secured multiple search warrants and conducted raids in connection to the matter, although official details remain limited.

Interestingly, Odey publicly lists himself as a security researcher on international bug bounty platform Bugcrowd — a platform known for connecting ethical hackers to organizations in need of vulnerability testing.

Insiders also allege that the current investigation may not fully capture the extent of concerns. There are emerging claims that Odey formed calculated ties with clients he encountered during his time at Forward Edge, later offering direct services and allegedly discrediting his former firm in the process.
